What is Aging?
We believe that premature aging is driven by chronic inflammation which over time damages our DNA. But the good news is our body CAN repair DNA damage.
How to Protect Your DNA and Boost Repair
Studies reveal that it’s real food, herbs and spices and whole-food supplements that can have the greatest impact on protecting your DNA, reducing inflammation and improving optimal aging.
It is essential that we get Omega-3 Fatty Acids in the form of high quality, rancid-free fish oil or eat 5-9 servings of cold-water fish per week. That gives our cells the building blocks to make healthy cell walls and provide anti-inflammation protection to our cells.

Another study showed that what we eat can protect your DNA from free radical damage: Just eat more spices!
Researchers took samples of DNA from regular people. On average, 7% of their cells showed DNA damage. Then, they “blasted” the DNA with free radicals. That free radical blast increased the damage to 10%.
Here’s where things got interesting: they then took samples of DNA from another group of people. These people had been eating spices like rosemary, cloves, turmeric, and ginger for about a week. When they blasted their DNA with the free radicals, the damage only increased 1%!
How Spices Protect DNA
Spices contain special free-radical fighters: antioxidants.
Almost all spices (and some other foods) contain antioxidants, but in this study 4 spices stood out as particularly beneficial:
- Ginger
- Clove
- Rosemary
